This is a concept demo of WilderLands, a simulation-focused survival game project. Please note that this repository will not include the full engine or technical implementation.
The game- well i mean i'm being generous calling it even a game. It sounds more like an act of self sabotage on myself dressed up as unrealistic ambition. Yout start in it with mothing but yourself and some villagers which interact with the world in a smart way. terrain deforms, trees, plants and animals have real physics, and premade blueprints aren't a thing. physics and your ingenuity are. need to break or cut something? sharpen stuff. Wanna build a hut? I'd reccomend a cave to start off with but you'll have to drag every log and brick and mud etc. That seems unreasonable already? Well too bad. It gets better. Weather, climates, wind, are all simulated in real time and calculated realistically. And no that's not it!! The terrain will be also Dynamic, tectonics will move, mountains will be created, oceans will form, canyons will appear. Yes this game will probably need a revolution in computer hardware (quantum computers), and probably a Degree in computer science, Geology, Chemistry, astorlogy, and probably more I forgot. I Hope you'll enjoy playing the game!! if it ever comes out that is XD, and i hope you'll have less headaches playing the game than I did making it XD
This project is something I value a lot, more than i can explain. It's something i believe in a lot, even though it's pretty much unrealistic. It's like all my traits: self-sabotage, overthinking, stubbornness, love for games with technical realism, and my very grounded personality, and more, came together, and agreed to make that game. Sure, this game might be heavily unrealistic for the current technology, and the main engines don't even suport it. But it's MY game. and i will not let it go.
